Der Hans-Meid-Preis, der im Zweijahresrhythmus für herausragende Leistungen auf dem Gebiet der Grafik, insbesondere der Buchgrafik und der Buchillustration, vergeben wird, wurde 1993 von Max Meid, Sohn des Malers, Grafikers und Illustrators Hans Meid (1883 – 1957) gestiftet.

In diesem Jahr wird der mit EUR 15.000 dotierte Hauptpreis an den Berliner Illustrator
Jens Harder vergeben.
