"But there is no question in the minds of the readers, as members of an east German interpretive community and former citizens of east Germany, that what Mosaik started sixty years ago still lives on. the comic remains in publication and is, as of 2018, the only east German comic to remain in print and the longest-running european monthly comic overall. Not even Fix und Foxi has survived. the community exists today in the many new fan clubs, fanzines, and fan sites associated with Mosaik, including Mosapedia (www.mosapedia.de), Der lustige Digedon (www.digedon.de), tangentus (www.tangentus.de), and orlando’s world (www.orlandos.de/comodi.htm), and in books, including the two-volume DasMosaik Fan-Buch published by kramer in 1993 and 1994."
