Annecy Filmfestival 2015

Das diesjährige Festival findet vom 15. - 20.06.2015 statt. Die folgenden Langfilme werden im Wettbewerb gezeigt:

"Sabogal" ist ein politischer Thriller aus Kolumbien. Die Festivalseite beschreibt den Inhalt wie folgt:

A judicial thriller that takes us into a fascinating visual universe where Sabogal, lawyer and human rights defender, investigates several crimes against humanity in modern Colombia. With the country in crisis, the protagonist is in constant danger and fights relentlessly, almost obsessively, for justice.

"Adama" beschreibt die Festivalseite wie folgt:

12-year-old Adama lives in a remote village in West Africa. Out beyond the cliffs lies the Land of Breaths, peopled by wicked war-hungry spirits. When his big brother suddenly vanishes from the village, Adama decides to go look for him. Full of desperation and childish innocence, he will traverse Europe at war. The love that he has for his brother will lead to an unexpected end to his journey.

"Desterrada" ist ein weiterer Politfilm aus Kolumbien. Zum Inhalt heißt es auf der Festivalseite:

Ana falls in love with Flavio, a guy who abandoned a military career because he didn't want to kill anyone, not even in self-defence. When war is declared, Flavio and Ana's other friends are recruited to fight but her brother Esteban goes AWOL and runs away abroad while the other members of his band go to war. Ana must wait for them in the city, surrounded by planes, missiles, and explosions.

"Eden's Edge" ist ein neunteiliger Episodenfilm.

Aus der Vogelperspektive sehen wir minimalistische Schauplätze, auf grauem Wüstensand penibel arrangiert, meist mit nur wenigen "Props" versehen.

Darin bewegen sich, gerade einmal Insekten-groß und verloren wirkend in ihrem Einzeldasein, Einsiedler, Mavericks und Freaks im besten Sinne. Sie alle haben sich in die Wüste zurückgezogen, um am Rand einer (unerträglich gewordenen) Gesellschaft ihr Leben neu zu entwerfen.

Priit TENDER dreht seit 1996 Animationsfilme (Filmographie hier). "House of Unconciousness" gewann im März 2015 bereits den Preis für den besten narrativen Kurzfilm auf dem Holland Animation Film Festival. Die dortige Festivalseite beschrieb den Film wie folgt:

Psychedelisch drama over een schoorsteenveger en een brandende vrouw. Statistieken onderbouwen de bewering dat deze film een van de dromen visualiseert die schoorsteenvegers het vaakst hebben.

Der 1942 geborene Jerzy KUCIA hat schon eine ganze Reihe an Filmen gedreht (Filmographie hier). Seinen neuen Film beschreibt die Festivalseite wie folgt:
