Tristan Crane is a writer and photographer currently living in San Francisco. Their first comic book, How Loathsome, (co-created with artist Ted Naifeh) and published by NBM was nominated for a 2004 GLAAD Media Award. The hardcover collection of the first four issues of How Loathsome is currently available online and in fine bookstores
Follow-up manga-style graphic novel, 'InVisible' follows Kay, a up and coming teenage model who wakes up one morning to find that she's been transformed into a boy! Her boyfriend (a very talented makeup artist) convinces her she's still pretty enough to be a girl and thus the hilarity begins. This book was illustrated by Rhea Sylvain and published by Seven Seas Press in 2009
Tristan also contributed a story to 2008's 'Comic Book Tattoo' anthology (Image Comics) with artist Atticus Wolrab, and their photography has appeared in magazines including 'Curve, The Advocate, and Shojo Beat. Currently Tristan is working on some smaller writing projects, while maintaining a photography business.
