And what do you know about Phantom publications in German newspapers, I didn't understand completely using google.translate.
I am not sure if there ever had been German newspapers with Phantom publications....

Hence there was no proper Word for Comic/Comics in the old days, some Labels declared them to be "Adventure Newspapers" or such funny Things...

In the 50s there was the “Aller Verlag” which came from the Netherlands. It published 49 “Phantom Comics” with about 80% other Stories form King Feat. Etc. some Books with Price Valiant, others with Rip Cirby or Hoppalong Cassidy… And "Buntes Allerlei" Feat. from # 01 to # 40 two Daily pages fom "The Devil Road" & "The Lady Luck/The Girls"

In the 69s there was BSV/Bildschriften Verlag which had licences from “Semic Press” from the Netherlands. Those 26 Phantom Comics featured Daily and Sunday-Stories and a painted Cover from Rolf Gohs. The Second Stories were Johnny Hazard Daily/Sunday-Stories and something called “Texas Jim” which were western Stories from Denmark.

From the 70s to the 80s there was the “Bastei Verlag” with various Phantoms – poorly printen in black and red…

After that there were some Hardcover an TPs from various Publisher..
