Am berühmtesten war die
Welteislehre (WEL - die heißt übrigens im Englischen genau so) eines Mannes mit dem bekannten Namen Hörbiger sein. Der österreichische Ingenieur und Erfinder Hanns Hörbiger (1860-1931) war der Gründervater der Schauspielerdynastie. Daß besonders die Nazis auf den Kram abfuhren, bei denen das unter "Weltlerkunde" lief und als Wissenschaft verstanden wurde, fördert natürlich die Aufmerksamkeit für die Glazialkosmogonie (ein anderer Name).
Ka-Zar und
Warlord könnten sich gut aus solch obskuren Quellen speisen.

Im angelsächsischen Sprachraum fällt der
Name Hans Schindler Bellamy (1901-1982), wenn nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg die Theorie wieder in bestimmten Kreisen kursiert. Für Künstler war das bestimmt anregend.
