Wegen der englischen Begrifflichkeiten.
Unsere "Novelle" ist im englischen
vergleichbar mit der "novella".

"Novel" ist der "Roman".
Im deutschen ist aber die "Länge" nicht alleiniges Kriterium zur Abgrenzung zwischen Novelle und Roman.
