Diese absurde Einteilung ist doch in den Medien international üblich: Einerseits damit sich ja niemand auf den Schlips getreten fühlt, weil seine Kategorie nicht erwähnt wurde, und andererseits um die Preiszeremonie zu einer stundenlangen Gala auswalzen zu dürfen. Vorbild für all diese Rituale dürften die Oscars der Filmindustrie sein, die den Standard vorgegeben haben, an dem sich ja alle zu orientieren haben.
Erlangen scheint sich an das Modell Angoulême zu halten, auch was den Geschmack der Jury betrifft. |

Prix Asie-ACBD 2010
Die Vereinigung der frankobelgischen Comicjournalisten und -wissenschaftler (ACBD) hat die Nominierungen für den besten asiatischen Comic (Manga, Manhua, Manhwa und ähnliche Varianten) des Jahrgangs 2010 vorgestellt. Der Preis selbst wird auf der 11. Japan Expo Anfang Juli in Paris überreicht.

Den Haag: Stichting P.C. Hooft-prijs
Die niederländische Stiftung vergibt im wechselnden Rhythmus drei Staatspreise in verschiedenen Kategorien, darunter seit 2007 den Max Velthuijs-prijs. Den mit der stolzen Summe von 60.000 € dotierten wird am 23. September 2010 im Letterkundig Museum in Den Haag der Comicautor Thé Tjong-Khing (geboren 1933 in Vietnam) erhalten. Durch den 3-Jahres-Rhythmus ist er allerdings erst der zweite Preisträger.
